Abandon

So I have finished Abandon and oh my goodness was it ever good!! I absolutely love John (If you read the book, you’ll know) and how he takes care and loves Pierce. 

I also found out, a bit to my dismay, that this book is the first in a trilogy. Normally this would be okay, I’d just go out and buy the second one. BUT it doesn’t come out until like march or april and it is killing me waiting to see what happens next! Plus most likely it’ll be in hard cover and I’m not fan of paying a lot more for the same book.

Hmmm oh the waiting.

This is the book I’m going to begin with. Much to my boyfriends protests… because it is a new buy and he thinks I should read the older ones first.  Abandon is by one of my favourite authors, Meg Cabot (http://www.megcabot.com/). I picked this book up when it leapt off the shelf… Quite literally, it hit me in the head at Chapters… It’s about a girl, Pierce, who died in an accident but was brought back to life. She has changed and is being followed by a mysterious character who isn’t making life easy for her.  It’s supposed to be a re imagination of the Persephone Myth.  I am pretty excited to start this book :)  I’ll keep you posted!

Intro

Hi there!!

I’m Brittany. I LOVE to read.

Sadly I have not been reading near enough lately, let’s say due to being busy (I’ve actually been too lazy)… 

Anyway, So I’m starting my own Tumblr to motivate myself to read. 

I’m going to pretend that people actually care about my thoughts and ideas regarding books. (I’m sure no one really does but I’m going to be naive.) 

I’ll post a picture of the book, accompanied by a brief first impression/why I picked it to read and then write when I have something to say about the book. 

I’ll also have quotes and fun facts as I go along. Possibly even the music I’m listening to or I think would make a good soundtrack to the book. :) 

I’m hoping someone will follow and give me ideas on what to read or perhaps have a discussion if they too have read the book. That’d be fantastic!
